Organic farming

There is a simple difference between organic and conventional farming: organic farming protects the earth and water, while conventional farming doesn’t. You are probably familiar with the superiority of organic food. The same truths apply to organic textiles.

In organic farming, crops are rotated and grown on land that has been chemical-free for at least 3 years. There is absolutely no use of synthetic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers or defoliants. The seeds have not been genetically modified. All organic farms are supported and regularly audited by independent certifying organizations.

Organic animal farming means that the wool comes from free-roaming sheep, raised on sustainably managed farms. The sheep are not given any unnatural feed or hormones. They are not treated with pesticides or antibiotics, except in the case of extreme illness. The farms do not use synthetic fertilizers or insecticides. And they never practice embryo-transplantations or other genetic experiments.

Not only is organic farming better for your health, it’s better for the health of the planet.
