1996

The Organic Textile Award for initiating the world’s first organic cotton farming project in Sekem, Egypt and for far-reaching dedication in encouraging a cultivation method that is healthy for people and the planet.

1999

International Design Award for the hessnatur wedding gown. hessnatur designed an organic wedding gown that couples could rent for free, the ultimate in beautiful sustainability. The gown is currently in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.

2005

Ethics in Business Certificate for hessnatur as a “pioneer in ethical practices”.  The award was based on the honest and sustainable conduct ofhessnatur, well beyond legal requirements.

2006

The national certificate for work/life balance awarded by the German government to progressive, family-oriented companies. hessnatur’s company policies include part time positions for managers, subsidies for child care, and an emergency baby-sitting service.

2008

Positive Award, a Public Eye Award, presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland for the ground-breaking initiatives of hessnatur in social and environmental practices.

First German Sustainability Award for hessnatur's Supply Chain and Purchasing Management.

2009

German consumer initiative honored hessnatur with the gold medal for its sustainable business model.

hessnatur achieved the first MINNE marketing award for its innovative marketing strategy.

2010

The national certificate for work/life balance for hessnatur was exchanged by German Goverment and the Federal ministry of social affairs

2011

hessnatur received for its health and safety management a certificate from TÜV Süd.

For its climate engagement and CO2 reduction hessnatur is awarded by the Government of the State of Hesse.
