Maximilian Lang, Managing Director

A New Voice for the Environment: On January 1, 2012, Maximilian Lang joined hessnatur as the co-Managing Director, a position he shares with Wolf Luedge. Responsible for design, purchasing, marketing and sales, Lang has an extensive background in retail. Most recently he worked for Otto, Hamburg, Germany. Lang was responsible for the introduction of Eco-Republic, a sustainable unit within the Otto brand. Prior to Otto, Lang held senior positions with other international brands.

“I am delighted to be part of hessnatur”, said Lang. “I hope to help shape the growth of hessnatur, while continuing its brand mission of environmental integrity and social responsibility.”

Management at hessnatur has been expanded to reflect its successful growth. In the last fiscal year, 2010-11, hessnatur welcomed nearly one million new customers, increased sales by more than 20% and doubled operating profit.
